We are delighted to announce the first Australian Dragons Den Contest, where clubs, organisations, and activist groups will have the chance to win $5,000!
All groups are invited to compete for funding. On Saturday, April 29, the best applicants will participate in a session modeled on the TV show "Dragons Den" (known as "Shark Tank in the US). In the TV show, entrepreneurs pitch business plans to five investors (the Dragons) in the hope of raising capital for their venture.
In our case, applicants from your organisation will be able to tell the ‘dragons’ about their groups and compete for up $5,000 of funding thanks to the generous sponsorship of the Atlas Network! The best application will receive funding to put their campaign into action!
If you wish to compete for up to $5,000 of funding for your group, please email firstname.lastname@example.org Subject: Dragon´s Den – NAME OF YOUR INSTITUTION) with a maximum one page long description of your organisation and a page long description of your project by March 31st, 2017.
Application is open to anyone who has registered to attend the Friedman Conference.
We hope that this session will give representatives of the best young groups an opportunity to share with all the delegates a successful project they are working on and all of us will be able to learn from the innovative ideas of other groups from across the world.
Participants will be able to use the multimedia facilities of the conference room before being quizzed by the Dragons.
